Father's Day

This is the third year without my Dad. I miss him, man do I miss him. I just know that I owe him more than I probably have ever realized and I think of new things all the time that he taught me one way or another. I was greatly blessed that he was my father. I often thought that if I could be half as good a dad to my children as he was to me, then I would be a successful parent. Well, that's about how it turned out, half as good that is, at least as I see it. I'm so proud of my own sons, they are great men and I'm confident they will be great dads themselves. One will be a first time father very soon (making me a first time Grand Dad). So based on my original thoughts on my being a successful father, I'd say his Grandsons (and including my brothers' sons) have shown what a GREAT Dad he really was. I love you Dad and I miss you more than I can say. This is one of those years when on this day we wish you Happy Birthday too Dad! I Love You Dad!
